Their newest microinverter, the IQ™ 7A, supports modules up to 465 W, making them ideal for high-power residential as well as commercial applications. As each panel functions independently, panels affected by dirt, shade or damaged panels reduce the output minimally.

The IQ 7A has no moving parts, operates on low temperature and has been built with ultra-reliable components. All Enphase microinverters come with a standard 10-year warranties with the option to extend coverage to 10, 15 or 25 years. The Enphase microinverter that is part of the SunPower Maxeon 5AC module is matching SunPower 25 year warranty. This is the longest warranty on the market.

Safety

Inverters turn high-voltage DC into usable AC power. With Enphase microinverters this happens at panel level making the energy load on the roof less and thus much safer.

Each Maxeon 5 AC module functions independently, making your whole system more reliable, and your rooftop more productive. But, the IQ 7A can be added to any of our SunPower panels. With conventional technology, the system performs only as well as its weakest panel. This can dramatically reduce output due to shade or other real-world challenges, even small debris like leaves.

As the panels deliver their power independently, the output can stay much higher despite shading or other minimising factors.

What does the Enphase microinverter do?

A microinverter is a small electronic device that sits beneath each solar panel. It’s main task is to convert direct current (DC) electricity from your solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity that you can use in your home or export to the grid. As each panel that has an Enphase microinverter functions independently, it maximises the potential of each module and brings you the most power you can get, while also minimising the risk of lower output. This also means you need less panels to generate the same amount of energy than you used to.

In a conventional setup, one inverter controls the output of a whole solar array, a design with a single point of failure. As Maxeon 5AC Modules each have their own inverter the risk is distributed throughout the whole system.

Panel Level Monitoring and real time views

The Enphase Envoy™ communication gateway connects your solar array to the internet, facilitating live access to data on system performance and critical issues. The interesting thing about Enphase is that it displays consumption monitoring. This means it does not only show you energy production, but consumption. By installing the Enphase Envoy you can stay confident in your system by being able to monitor individual data on each panel. See your energy and environmental data on any connected device, and share your results on social media. As the Envoy communication gateway also sends out automatic alerts about technical issues to TCK Solar, we are able to troubleshoot remotely.
